About sam Lelliott

Born in Battersea London in July 1939 Samspent the war yeras fostered out to a farm labourer and his wife in Sussex. After the was he was reunited with a family he didn't know and lifewas very difficult. He left home at 19 and joined the Army where he served for 9 years. Having left the army he worked in many service trades until he retired at age 62. At the age of 73 Sam tried his hand at writing and found out that it was a medium he enjoyed. Now living in Sussex once again on the South Coast of the UK. The Wind (Volume1) was written as a protest to the total lack of real genuine care that children received back in the late 60's in the UK. It is a story full of sadness and joy, much the same as the early life of Sam. It will be followed by Volume 2, the continuing story. Sam also writes short stories that again reflect attitudes in life. Most end happily as things should. Best wishes. from Sam
