Niraj River Basin, Romania: agricultural possibilities

This report describes the Niraj River Basin in detail: Physical setting, Physiography, Climate, Vegetation, Soils and Land-use. The research for this study was undertaken by Agricultural School of Miercurea Nirjului, under the guidance of its Principal and Director Dr. Samuel Jakab. The funding for this research came from Stichting Roemeniehulp Marienberg/bergentheim/Beerzerveld and from the Dutch Center for Development Assistance NCDO. The local implementation of this research and the implemented fruittree project, was supervised by Mr Laszlo Sebestyen from EMDA-Romania.
