Smith's Princeton Lectures on Moral and Political Philosophy, Vol. 2
Hard Cover Version of Samuel Stanhope Smith's "Lectures on Moral and Political Philosophy", Volume 2. Lectures XV Through XXXI
Smith served both as President of the College of New Jersey (Princeton), from 1795 until 1812 and as Vice President (1789-95). Before that, he held several successive professorial posts there, as Professor, Moral Philosophy and Theology (1783-1812) and Professor, Moral Philosophy ( 1779-83) which extended his influence over the late Colonial period, and well into the early Constitutional era.
If you want to know what was taught to those who lead this country to Independence, in effect to read one of the "Owners Manual" for the Unites States of America, this book is the place to start.
This reprint was created from a rare original 1812 copy, with the addition of a Sketch of Smith's life taken from "History Of The College Of New Jersey, at Princeton, by John Maclean, the Tenth President.
