How to Use the I Ching As an Oracle for Wealth: An Introduction to the I Ching Divination

The ‘I CHING’ is one of the oldest Chinese classic texts and contains a divination system. As a manual of divination, it interpreted events through reading hexagrams. It successfully offered guidance to emperors and civilians. Thousands of years have passed; the popularity of using it as an oracle remains. This book introduces the basis required for the hexagram analysis based on the ‘Supplement to the I CHING Divination’ written by the scholar Ding Yue-Kang around 1668 AC. Ding integrated the ‘Five Elements’ and ‘Terrestrial Branches’ with the traditional ‘I CHING’ and derived a set of rules for hexagrams’ decoding, including the inference of future dates. As of today, in China, Ding’s book is a must read for those who consider themselves as a master and is the only book that gives a complete decoding detail.
