The Harp and the Thistle Vol. 2 Part 2: Hugh & Sara Fergus: Appendix
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Fergus family history continues with the story of Hugh Fergus and his family of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. Described by Pittsburgh Post-Gazette columnist Joe Browne as “a rarity in many ways,” Hugh Fergus was a farm boy who graduated from Penn State at the beginning of the 20th century. He was a successful farmer and dairy- and beef-cattleman, a committed United Presbyterian, involved in many civic and charitable works, and a proud father and grandfather. This Appendix to the main volume of the family history contains many examples of Hugh's own writings on his family and farming experiences in the first half of the 20th century.
