This first volume of The Sunday Memories Series is not a book of names and dates; it is, rather, a collection of stories about a family whose genealogy couldn’t possibly capture the struggles and characters it boasts. Weekly prompts encouraged the author, a woman who longed to preserve something of their heritage for her nieces and nephews. In binding them here into a book, Sarah ensures that generations to come will know something of the hard work, the grace, and the Belonging her family exhibited in a world that expected them to fall apart.
