For us there are two main ways in which we make liberal use of our perception of time and the secrets it unlocks for us. In the first, we use our knowledge to ascertain a suitable time to work and in the second, we use our knowledge to consider the patterns and use them to tell us what to expect of any given time. Given that the combination of these two pro-cesses is seemingly rarely engaged in these days by any other than us, we retain an edge most scarcely know exists.
