Two years have passed since Zengyre rescued Vanessa and defeated and killed Volco as well as other members of the Word and Object Gang. Zengyre had gotten into trouble with the police when he and Vanessa arrived at the Wolf’s Den and discovered the police there. They explained everything that happened but decided not to include the black diamond. They were afraid of being locked up in a mental hospital. An army of police took down the entire fortress of bad guys finding the evidence they needed on Volco’s gang and the location of his drug and weapon factories. Zengyre was released for lack of evidence on him. The police came to realize his fantastic story was true and he was rewarded by the governor of the state. He received $900,000 for eliminating the horrible gang of criminals. Zengyre eventually healed Vanessa moved in with her parents. The couple decided to go to college. Zengyre image went from rock bottom to sky high and has made new friends, Zilla an armadillo, Henry a possum, Righty a Mouse, and Jack a dog. He can’t stop smiling about his new life. However the Word and Object Gang wasn’t quite defeated. Music, Volco’s right hand man, had managed to save one drug factory from discovery. It’s on the edge of the Grand Canyon but far from Canyonside. A partnership with the second-in-command, Standard a rat who had been third, helped get what was left of the gang almost back on their feet. The Scroll of Evil can be used to create another black diamond. White, a white rabbit dominatrix, was Volco’s girlfriend. He enjoyed the physical pain she provided as well as the pleasure has lost all her power from her boyfriend’s death. Her status was reduced to a regular henchman and she vowed vengeance against Zengyre. She reminded the new leaders them that Short had no goodness in his heart. They decided to recruit him, give him power and simply rule through him. White, however, had her own mission and that was to avenge Volco. Vanessa will get kidnapped again and Zengyre must spring back into action to rescue his girlfriend and stop the gang once and for all.
