Paul’s letter to the Romans is the most formal and systematic of his New Testament epistles. In fact, it has been called, and, is considered to be, the theological cornerstone of the New... More > Testament. The main theme of this letter is that “righteousness” is a free gift from GOD, and is only receivable by “faith”. Paul wrote this letter to introduce himself to the Church at Rome, and to give them a summary of Christian teaching. He begins by showing them how every person has rebelled against GOD, and is cut off from HIM because of sin. Paul also demonstrates in this letter how GOD, through HIS mercy, interceded, while we were yet set against HIM in full-fledged sin. GOD, then, opened the way back up to HIMSELF through CHRIST JESUS, and now, anyone who trusts in JESUS will be saved from evil, and be given the power of GOD, through the HOLY SPIRIT, to live a good life.< Less

John's Gospel was most likely written sometime between A.D. 85 and 95. His depiction of JESUS is the most theological of the four gospels. He presents to us, a JESUS WHO existed with GOD, and, as... More > GOD, even before the creation of the universe. John's unique style confront's us with an overwhelming necessity to believe on our LORD and SAVIOR. He shows JESUS as the focus of a spiritual struggle between the forces of light and darkness, love and hate, and most of all, life and death. The four Gospels are our primary source of information about JESUS. And while they do not provide us with a biography of HIS life, they do present us with a clear picture of HIS person, and HIS works. It is my hope that these commentaries will help develop a better understanding of this gospel account, and that the reader will be able to make a decision to give their life to CHRIST, and if they already have, hopefully it will help them grow in their Christian walk, so, they too, can win others to CHRIST.< Less

During this second invasion (597 B.C.), Nebuchadnezzar deported an even larger group of Judah’s upper and middle class citizens to Babylon, and among this group was a young twenty-six year old... More > priest in training named, Ezekiel. This group of Jewish captives was placed in the region of Tel Aviv, along a wide canal that links two branches of the Euphrates known as the Kebar River. There, they were treated more as colonists than slaves and enjoyed many privileges. It was there on the banks of the Kebar River, that, in 593 B.C., a now thirty old Ezekiel received his calling from GOD (Ezekiel 1 & 2). Thirty years old is the minimum age that priests are actually allowed to begin serving in the temple (Numbers 4:1-3). And so, as the LORD would have it, it was from that place, that Ezekiel first served the LORD by delivering his first prophetic message to his fellow captives in Babylon.< Less
