The War Diary of Lt. John F. McGrath

This book is a first-hand account of the last year of World War 1, taken from the personal diary of a U.S. army lieutenant by the name of John F. McGrath. The diary also contains a look at Germany during the first months after the war. This source was selected by the soldier's great-great-grandson, Sebastian Merkle. The journal, having been preserved in the family for five generations, is now being brought to the public stage for the first time. The pages are the direct photocopy of the author's own type-written copy, so the story appears in all the splendor of its antiquity.
