The Reality of a Married Life

Marriage is God’s idea; God’s proven method of populating the earth. Suffice to say that for any man to fulfil the “Be-fruitful-and-multiply” blessing of Gen. 1:28, the first and most acceptable option is through marriage. It is designed by the inventor to involve two different personalities, a man and a woman of distinct (and most times contrasting) character, attitude and psychological make-up. However, they are expected to be of one mind. Consequently, inadequate understanding of the formation of this concept poses a threat to the success of the union; preventing many couples from bringing out the best out of their marriages. To this end, “The reality of a married life”, pictures marriage as a life-long eventful adventure with diverse experience. Using adventurous imagery, Segun Adesesan, depicts marriage as a journey with terminals and zones; subtle and serious challenges, and riddles that require wisdom, resilience and determination of each individual in the union to decipher.
