Kings of the Highway

In 1946 the Army created a new band with a unique mission. The Army Ground Forces Band was to perform concerts around the country, representing the American Ground Soldier to communities large and small. In its 75-year history The AGF Band, which was renamed The US Army Field Band in 1950, has performed in all fifty states and on five continents. This book documents the service of the more than 1850 people who have been assigned to the unit.
