Modern Post-Modern or Something Else

This book is about the existing architecture in Cyprus where individuals live in a society that reflects post-modern paradigms rather than modern ones. The existing built environment of the Cyprus island has many different reflections of the structure of its society. This book focuses on the effects of recent development on the residential architecture of Cyprus and its pre-modern/modern/post-modern parameters. It also discusses the social and cultural aspects of present-day architectural dynamics in order to create quality spaces for living and to transfer the daily experiences to these spaces properly. The discussions will be held in a framework that combines many related features of identity such as cultural formations, ideologies, social structures, economy, characteristics of environment, and so on.
