After an anonymous option article in the campus newspaper get the students of Elektra College in an uproar, sides are drawn and the campus' true colors are revealed. The Heart of the Matter follows Julia Carpenter, a junior at Elektra College, and her friends as they navigate their way through the trials and tribulations of life at a small college.
