Her entrepreneurial spirit earned her awards like the 2023 “High Street Hero” and recognition as a runner-up for Wandsworth Women Enterprise in 2024. Transitioning from business to art, she became a passionate advocate for women’s rights and her community, inspired by her heritage and her father’s legacy. A Champion for Marginalised Voices: In a year and a half , Shahd attended 90+ poetry events, raising over half a million pounds for charities. Her poetry collections White Shoes and Re-embroidered, along with her EP White Shoes, highlight struggles faced by marginalised people. Her performances support Palestinian causes and promote peace and unity. Recognition & Future Work: She was awarded Writer in Residence at Swerve Magazine in Dublin in 2024. Shahd continues her mission. She is now working on a novel addressing domestic violence across cultures—she refuses to stay silent on injustice.
