The Hance family story begins with John Hance, Sr. (1777– 1846) and wife, Rachel Daulphin (Laight) Hance, daughter of Lazarus and unknown mother. John and Rachel had 15 children. This book follows the lineage of their son, Andrew Jackson Hance, and then the families of A.J.’s son, Jacob Clay Hance.
