Hmong In Transition: China is a photo/text book that traces the author's research into the lives of contemporary Hmong living in remote villages in Guizhou and Yunnan provinces in Southwest China. Included are maps and a journal reflecting the author's experiences and a brief overview of a larger thirty year research project about the Hmong in Laos, refugee camps in Thailand, Vietnam and the United States.
