Benjamin Brackett of the Carolinas

ByShirley Brown Adair

The scope of this book is to outline descendants of Benjamin Brackett and Ann __?__ of Old Tryon County, North Carolina. Benjamin’s estate was administered January 1810 in Burke County, N.C., by his widow Ann and his son Benjamin. The major portion of this book concerns this son, who married Elizabeth Upton in 1793, and their descendants. Interrelated families Upton, Black, Boyd, Coe, Butler and Smith are included in Part Five. "Benjamin Brackett of the Carolinas" was compiled by Shirley Brown Adair of Rockwall, Texas, and is dedicated to the memory of her mother, Della B. Butler Brown (1908 - 1988). This electronic edition is a scan of the original 568-page printed manuscript. Because of this, the images and some texts are not crisp. The original book is no longer in print.
