Within two to four weeks a caterpillar will shed its skin four to six times. They change color, pattern, and texture. A caterpillar’s main purpose throughout its short lived life is to eat a lot of food, it can grow almost 100 times its initial size. This stage is Growth. Change. Emergent, Hungry but Patient.
