A self-educated woman of deep faith, she left school after the 10th grade to marry Russell Henderson and became a devoted mother of three by the age of 19. A true patriot, she spent countless hours at the local library researching history, politics, and current events through newspapers, journals, and microfiche. Typed on a manual typewriter, this perpetual calendar reflects years of careful research. Her trademark “R” became a symbol of her many projects, including the Early Morning “R” Track Meet she proudly sponsored. Herself a senior Olympian.
