‘Whimsical Magazine, Tales Of Portraits... Whimsical Magazine is a new independent fortnightly publication aiming to highlight and sublimize portrait photography in all its forms, envisioned as a work of art. Additionally to awesome and unique editorial or commercial portraits, every issue will consist of interviews and articles spotlighting talents, from every part of the world, who will inspire every photography and image enthusiast and stimulate you to excel in your art, in order to make you live your passion more completely. Passion, creativity, emotion and audacity are our 4 watchwords. Chelsea Marne is the photographer behind the lens. Being a South Carolina transplant and Pennsylvania native, she was the child who was always obsessed over taking pictures. As she got older, she continued to love capturing the moment, but had another passion, helping people. Hence, she set her sights on being a radiography technologist and set the camera down. ‘I loved the work, the people, and the sense of making a difference. When we moved I was torn between staying at home and raising our young children or going back into the work force. I chose to stay home, which allowed me to pick the camera back up and capture my children growing day by day.Then one day, was thinking, why can’t I continue to help make a difference? So I put on my thinking cap and thought : ‘What can I bring to the table to help others?’ It became clear, to capture those moments people will forever cherish.’ Thus,with total support from her family, Chelsea decided it was time to step out of her comfort zone, open a thriving business, and since then, she hasn’t looked back. «When I say I want to photograph someone, what it really means is that I’d like to know them.
