Sonja knew a little boy whose head was eaten by a dog is a small tale of one boy (that Sonja knew) and his adventure. More than that, though, it is a civics lesson for the youngest of readers. The story is ultimately ambiguous, and the reader is left with the incertitude that what he or she has seen is what happened, or what they were told had happened. This seemingly absurd allegory is a firm inoculation against the worst of the Fourth Estate today.
