Revolution or Rebellion? American Catholics And The Second Vatican Council

Around the world, American Catholics are considered "different" from Catholics everywhere else. The question is, why is that so? While the American Catholic Church embodies the same beliefs and traditions as the Catholic church elsewhere, which beliefs and how American Catholics embrace these beliefs is what makes the Church in America different from the Church elsewhere. What caused American Catholics to pick and choose is tied up in both Church, political, and cultural changes which took place in the 1960s, just how these reforms would change the face of the American Catholic Church, was something that no one was able to predict.
