A Heterotopia of Life and Death through Architecture: The Individual versus Society
This ebook may not meet accessibility standards and may not be fully compatible with assistive technologies.
Architecture is the mechanism that spacially, materially, and culturally creates society. I believe that we, as human beings, are never individual and the word "individual" solely exist because of relativity. It is through the ritual of burial and the preservation of corpses that I find an intriquing and compelling departure to illustrate the individual playing a role within society even after death, through architecture.
