Takagi ryu chugokui mokuroku

FULL COLOUR VERSION The teachings of the founder of the Takagi Ryu ,Takagi Oriemon Shigenobu (高木折右衛門重俊), continue to be practiced today by thousands of martial artists. Drawing on both historical and modern Japanese texts the author presents a history of some of the major figures in the lineage of the school. A full reproduction of the Chu Gokui Mokuroku (中極意目録) scroll of the Takagi Ryu (高木流) written in 1844 is presented for the first time, with full translation thus providing a unique opportunity to those with an interest in traditional Japanese martial arts, as well as practitioners of branches of the school that continue to this day.
