Jacob Black had nothing, was nothing. Down-trodden, beaten, and discouraged all his life, Jacob had distress most of the time, and misery all of the time. A father who was never around, a sister who was concerned with her own social prowess, and a single friend who at best was bossy and demanding. Everyone seemed to take an instant dislike to him. But all that changed in seconds... Jacob was never a nobody. He is the sole hope for an ancient race of people known as Changelings. His existence has been legend and hope for centuries. Now he must learn to harness the greatest power in all the Worlds and use it to drive out the Darkness, to destory it in a wash of Purity.
