The Nightmare on Pine Street: A Short Story

In the outskirts of the valley town lurks the supposedly "haunted" manor on Pine Street, home of Mr. Cicero Feinstine, model train collector extraordinaire. On Halloween of all nights, courageously clever girl Sam Holloway is dared by her friends to stay the night at said manor. All is not so simple, however. Wild Daniel Vaughn, a boy with a crush on her ever since the two were lab partners a month ago, ends up joining her. Plus, Sam's friends have a little something up their sleeves as well. Will they survive the night, and each other? Or will they succumb to the town's staple ghost story? It's an intentionally cheesy tale of hard truths, bravery, and a little love.
