The author's objective is to promote an appreciation of the intricacies involved in managing public organisations particularly; Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA's) with a view to helping the reader comprehend their management, financial reporting and policy making processes. Consequently, this book combines the relevant aspects of management, administration and finance and throws light on the workings of public organisations by asserting that all organisations are influenced by Government to the extent that they are driven or regulated by its authority and/or private to the extent that they are market driven. In all, the author concentrates on the core principles that make for effective running of any organisation and provides profound illumination on the decision and policy making processes of Government and its Agencies in the areas of administration and finance.
