Nostalgic, provocative two act play from the author of 'Purgatory Park' and 'Living With Elvis' Once upon a time in a land not far away, there stood on many a street corner a building known affectionately as ‘The Local’. Across the length and breadth of this great land, serving all from the working classes to the landed gentry, the Great British Pub reigned supreme at the heart of the community. Alas those heady days are nothing but a distant memory, replaced by smoke free child friendly eateries and housing developments. The Liars’ Bar takes us back to a time when the landlord was God, men were men and women knew how to nag. Featuring music by one of the greatest British bands of all time, The Beautiful South, why don’t you pull up a bar stool, sit back and soak in the atmosphere of a long lost institution that was the Liars’ Bar.
