SCREENPLAY Earle Roy Ratgear (pronounced rah-gee-ay) writes sleazy B-movie screenplays. Eight of these have been produced for the direct-to-video market. We see many glimpses into his latest effort, Grocery Gore, as the story progresses. Wrongfully thinking he is dying, Earle rushes to complete his mainstream masterpiece, a work titled Pork, to secure his daughter's future before he croaks. As Grocery Gore gives us insights into how Earle would like to see grocery stores run his agent tries to set up a meeting with director Ron Howard to pitch his writer's masterpiece. This comedy rocks along at a frantic pace with a delightful cast of characters.
