A Pocketful of Rainbow Stones is a children’s novel set in the modern world with a fantasy and mystery theme. The main characters consist of three children aged between eleven & twelve, how over a Christmas period become involved in a series of events surrounding the dark history of the local castle and embark on a quest for three magical and very rare items known only as the 'Rainbow Stones'. Once the three children finally enter the castle and are befriended by an old local man called Mr Gurskill do they realize that the castle is in fact a very mysterious and magical place that transports them to other worlds, encountering dragons, giants and angry dwarves. They discover an evil wizard banished and trapped in the castle along with his goblin henchman also has plans to capture the three stones for his own evil gains.
