Art History? Where do you start?………Well, you could try this book? In it the author gives a brief, basic introduction to a random selection of artists, art movements and famous galleries. Some of these may be familiar and some might be new to you. Suitable for ages 10-100+ years there is no chronological order within the book - you can read from cover to cover or dip in and out as you please. You will find that the content differs from many other art books in that the author uses straight forward language to make the book an easy read whilst giving the reader just enough information to, hopefully, want to explore the history a little (or a lot!) more.
