About Sue (Jackson) Penner

Sue a New Mexico native,educated at New Mexico (New Mexico State University in Las Cruces Ms. Penner is one of the New Mexico women that is listed in the Who’s Who of American Women. She has been an entrepreneur in the business world and knows first hand the difficulties of being a business owner. She is also an accomplished author of several “How To” books on business and grantwriting. Along with running her own business, she has been active in local government. She served as a town Trustee and then was Mayor. Along with the title of Mayor, Ms Penner was Chairman of the Board leading the hospital to become a viable business. She also served her community by serving on the South Central Council of Government Board, on the Sierra County Economic Development Board that worked diligently to get the Spaceport located in Sierra County, the area Workforce Investment Act Board the Keep America Beautiful, Inc, and Veterans Memorial Wall Financial Director. Upon retiring, she has devoted her time to grant writing and helping nonprofits succeed.
