American Adolescents their Words in Black and White

This is a beautifully photographed book about teens written in their own handwriting. Photographer and art educator Susan Herdman has captured the essence of the teen experience through the eyes of forty adolescents, and has presented them here in an honest and disarming fashion. This book is a segue into the thought processes and problems of today's teens, and as such can be a valuable tool for encouraging communication between teens, their peers and families, and the professionals who work with them.
