HIV/AIDS Susceptibility and Racial Disparities is the result of extensive research conducted to establish a link between intrinsic pre-existing factors/conditions, in humans, and vulnerability to HIV infection as well as examine the stupefying racial disparities that are reported in study after study. While many reports have been issued on various HIV risk factors, few literary works have been produced examining why some people contract HIV and others don’t. My goal was to tie all of the pieces together, with respect to identifying fundamental HIV vulnerability factors as well as seek an answer to the question, ‘Why do certain racial groups have a greater propensity to contract this disease than others?
