How Am I to Touch with You? is Sylvia Krebs' personal collage of students and friends, places and events that she encountered in China. From 1984 to 2000, she lived in the PRC for intervals of 3 to 16 months, teaching and traveling. Krebs experienced every day life in China during a crucial period in the country's history. Her views add another perspective on the complex society of late 20th century China.
