
Bryan Guy Adams OC OBC FRPS, born on November 5th, 1959, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada is a Canadian guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer & photographer. He's sold 75 - 100+ million records worldwide, being the most played artist on Canadian radio in the 2010s, having had 25 top 15 singles there and at least a dozen in the US, UK & Australia. Adams joined his 1st group when aged 15, with his self-titled debut L.P. being issued when he was 20.
He became famous in North America with the top 10 album Cuts Like a Knife (1983), including its title track and the ballad Straight From the Heart, his first US top 10 hit single. Bryan's Canadian & US chart-topping L.P., Reckless (1984), made him an international star with tracks Run to You and Summer of '69, both making the top 10 in the US & Canada, and the power ballad Heaven, hitting US # 1. His album Into the Fire (1987), with its US & Canadian top 10 hit single, Heat of the Night, made # 2 in Canada and the top 10 in the US, among several other countries.
Adams released (Everything I Do) I Do It for You during 1991, which topped the charts in at least 19 countries, including for 16 consecutive weeks in the UK & 18 in mainland Europe, both records, being one of the best-selling singles of all time, having sold over 15 million copies worldwide. The song was included on Bryan's Waking Up the Neighbors (1991), a worldwide # 1 L.P. that sold 16 million copies, being certified diamond in Canada.
