Starflakes

Lyra ran swiftly and gracefully through the forest. A soft rain blanketed her every move. She ran until night fell, then rested underneath her favorite tree. The star directly above her began to shimmer, and then glow. Tiny, icy sparks began to fall from the star. It showered a cascade of crystals around Lyra and the tree. They caught in her hair and covered her skin making her sparkle brightly. Jim watched it all, knowing he was witnessing magic in its purest form. He also knew he loved Lyra. Will the ten years that separate them be too much, or can Jim work some magic of his own?
