Conference proceedings of the 12th ICOM-CC Working Group on Wet Organic Archaeological Materials held in Istanbul, Turkey in 2013. The WOAM proceedings contain articles based on all aspects of the excavation, research and treatment of wet organic materials ranging from management of archaeological sites, pre-treatment and analysis, wood treatments including the sulphur question, the conservation of other organics and large wooden structures including shipwrecks, display and storage , drying of wet organics, artifacts retrieved from glaciers and a special session on the Yenikapi shipwrecks.
