The Picture of Sibyl Vane

In 1938, famous West End actress Sibyl Vane visits the studio of Basilia, a female portrait artist, to have her picture painted for a gallery at the Old Vic. The two women were both acquainted with a male student called Dorian Gray whilst at university, and are aware of the influence which Oscar Wilde’s famous novel The Picture of Dorian Gray has had on all three of their lives and careers.
