Hostage!

A trio of bumbling would-be terrorists take refuge in a secondary girls' school in Singapore and hold class Three Violet hostage. How will the girls cope with this unwelcome interruption to their education? Will the elite Singapore S.Q.U.A.T. team arrive in time to save them? Will the incident cost the Principal her National Day Award? How many make-up lessons will be needed? All will be revealed within, as you thrill to Marjorie's mordant wit and gasp at Adelena's erudition in this adaptation of Terry Morgan's Methodist Girls' School play, hailed by at least one playgoer as 'the funniest play ever put on in Singapore'. Terry Morgan (author of, as Terence Morgan, 'The Master of Bruges', 'The Shadow Prince', 'Villon' and the biblical trilogy, 'The Book of David' -- 'Goliath', 'Saul' and 'Joab') has great fun with a quizzical but affectionate look at the Singapore education system. Terry Morgan taught in Singapore for sixteen years, including ten years at Methodist Girls' School. He has also written novels as Layne Finch ('Attainder') and plays as Tee Moh Gan 'The Paradise Garden)
