This first translator between “Aztec code” and “English (Capital letters)” is a response to the coexistence between humans and machines. The Aztec code was invented by Andy Longacre and Robert Hussey in 1995 to be read by machines. The typography created for the purpose draws inspiration from captchas, that is, letters and numbers that have been distorted so as not to be readable by machines but only the human eye.
