KARL HELD: GROWING UP IN THE KAISER'S TIME

This is the story of Karl Held, son of a Christian Prussian civil servant, growing up in a town not far from Berlin, the bustling capital of a newly united Germany at the beginning of the 20th century. Karl deals with various problems in his young life, among them being bullied by other boys in his school. We follow his many adventures, as, with the help of his parents, his friends, and a Christian faith, he experiences both the joys and difficulties of growing into maturity.
