Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence, created his own Bible. He did this by taking scissors and cutting out all the supernatural or dogmatic parts, and chopping off the Old Testament entirely. This left him with a small book filled with what he considered to be the untainted moral message of Jesus of Nazareth.
This edition uses the Revised King James text and omits the non-English translations present in Jefferson's original cut-and-pasted edition.
