This very early edition includes some poems from both WAKING UP AT THE GATES and LONG-LOST PUZZLE PIECES. It was written during a difficult time in the poet's life. The big picture is nothing but a set of puzzle pieces. Some young deity somewhere is trying to piece this puzzle together. It's confusing, but this deity will figure it out eventually. And if not, there's no reason to ever give up. Sometimes the pieces are simply long-lost puzzle pieces, hidden in hearts like songs stuck in someone’s head.
