The Sixteenth Summer of Stoffel Siebenthaler

It is the summer of 1881 in Haycock Township and sixteen-year-old Stoffel is forced to make a decision that will shape his life. When the local schoolmaster pays his family a visit, he must decide whether to leave the idyllic comforts of family and farm in pursuit of knowledge. Encounters with an eccentric extended family and a host of quirky neighbors ensue in this coming-of-age tale from the land of the Pennsylvania Dutch.
