... Connection is somehow the issue. In brain process, connection is sequential and parallel, which is all that is possible AND all that is necessary. In ‘consciousness’, this does not apply. And so ‘something’ that is necessarily ‘digital’, each element instantaneous, ‘separate’, becomes something ELSE that is seen as, and therefore IS, all-of-a-piece. Moment to moment, but the moments continuously sequential. How on Earth .... ? We know, obviously, what our experience is. Well, at least we know what our experience is like. It is continuous, seamless, horizontally, vertically, from closer than the tip of our nose to the most distant horizon and beyond; visually, things keep themselves more or less separate, overlapping but not mixing together; auditorily, a different story altogether, summation and harmony, at times the most grating dissonance, frequencies and pitches that may intensify each other, interfere with each other, even by sheer illusion create each other (the ‘fifth voice’)...
