This book isn't designed to be controversial, but it will almost certainly contradict everything you've ever heard about prayer from a religious perspective. Nonetheless, it is my obligation to share it with you. You are free to do whatever you want with it. Put it on a shelf if it's too strong for you, but remember where you put it because you'll need it eventually. So many people have prayed to a God who was difficult to approach, slow to respond, and who had to be pestered day after day before He was persuaded to respond to their prayers. When the reality was revealed, they discovered that the Bible did not contain any such God. Because God says, "Ask, and it will be given to you... everyone who asks receiveth." "Forget your preconceived views and study My Word as if you had never heard it before," the Lord said to me several years ago. When I first started doing that, I had to learn certain things and then unlearn some others. So much of my religious beliefs went against God's Word. "You should know you're on the wrong road if you've been on the same road for twenty years and haven't arrived at your destination," as someone wisely put it. For more than two decades, I walked the path of religious prayer with little to show for it. I was befuddled, disillusioned, physically sick, and spiritually owed money. At the end of my rope, I was clinging to the last knot. I prayed, pleaded, complained and I was zealous for God, but not in the way that most people are zealous for God. I'd taken the wrong turn. The knowledge of the truth (God's Word) set me free when I discovered it. 2 Timothy 2:24-26 explains why this book was written: And the Lord's servant must not strive, but must be gentle to all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those who oppose themselves, if God may grant them repentance to the acknowledgment of the truth, and that they may be rescued from the devil's snare, who are taken captive by him at his will. You may be wondering why you haven't received answers to your prayer. This divine manual is meant to teach you how to pray and get answers from God. By acting on God's Word, I was able to free myself from the devil's snare, and you can do the same. This book is dedicated to your liberation, therefore read it prayerfully.
