They speak of wolves, but in the minds of those that know, that valley is a cursed place. The wolves are no mere animals, instilling fear in those outside the valley who only have mystery to explain that place. She arrives in town and is thought of as a trickster. Hearing the rumors of the wolves, her insight on all things trickery assumes the mystery behind the valley to be nothing more than illusion. He is a young man eager to explore. Instantly smitten by the magician woman, he invites himself along on her self-gratifying mission to unmask the wolves for what they could be.
