Sherlock Holmes decides to retire because he feels he had lost his deductive powers. However, his enemies would like to know where he is, so they can do away with him in order to make their upcoming crimes more successful. By harming his best friend Dr. Watson and the only woman he admires - they hope to draw him out. Their ploy succeeds and Sherlock Holmes comes out of retirement to defeat his enemies and save Irene Adler.
